Parliamentary committee has directed the government to normalise the supply of drugs across the country. Legislature-Parliament instructed the Ministry of Health and Population to take effective standards to ensure smooth supply of medicines affected with India’s unofficial blockade on the country. Medicines provided by foreign organizations could not be brought in and 300 containers carrying medicines have stuck in the border due to border blockade and the government should work seriously to normalise the situation. There was a shortage of eight/nine verities of drugs and the Ministry has planned to take all possible measures including to reroute medicine cargos stuck in border to handle the situation.
