District Agriculture Development Office, Myagdi said the agriculturist of bee keeping profession from different places of Myagdi has been producing honey starting a bee keeping profession. The honeys have been produced from 4510 hives which are in operations all around the district. The office is providing bee hives and different training related to beekeeping profession as fund. As they got the funds the beekeeping profession and honey have been increasing yearly. Last year only from 4120 hives 20 thousand 200 kg money had been produced. Honeys that are produced in Myagdi district also exports to foreign countries like Japan, Saudi, Bahrain, and Qatar and so on. Migrant citizens too supplies honey at some foreign countries. Bee Keeper Ram Kumari Khatri of Dadhuwa-12, Beni Nagar said Japanese Tourist also buys honey with them when they come to visit Nepal. Hilly district Myagdi who have potentiality of commercial beekeeping had produced honey around half 22 thousand kg of honey within one year. At Fiscal year 2071-72 19 hundred 50kg honey have been increased comparing to previous year and altogether 22,550 kg of honey had been produced. Honey is also taken as purity so it is used as Prashad at Puja as well as used as medicines.
