Subhadra Rijal, November 22, 2015 (DCnepal) – Malaysia deployed soldiers in its capital city taking extra security precautions amid unconfirmed reports of an "imminent terrorist threat". Malaysia tightened security following terrorist attacks in France, Egypt and Lebanon, ahead of the 27th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits that officially opens on Saturday at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Two declarations will be signed on Sunday, the final day of the Summit. Much of the focus of the Summit will be on raising awareness among the 630 million people living in ASEAN countries, and the forging of an ASEAN identity. Obama is joining leaders of the 10-member Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) for a weekend summit. Leaders from eight other countries with close partnerships with the grouping - Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, South Korea and the United States - will also attend the meetings starting on Saturday.
