Basanti Maharjan, November 20, 2015 (DC Nepal) – Modikhola Hydropower Office which have capacity of 14.8 MW (Mega Watt) located at Parbat district, Patichaur has been closed. As the hydropower was closed and electricity supply has been stopped people from eight villages development committee (VDC) are compelled to live their life at darkness. As there seems a problem in a transformer that have been capacity of 3 ambic connected to Modi Sub-Station, residents of 8 villages (Deupur, Deurali, Bajhungf, Tilhar, Rramja deurali, Chitre, Artha Danda Kharka and Bhok Deurali ) are forced to live their life in darkness since three days. Residents are in trouble due to fuel supply but due to the problem in transformer they had to suffer more. The damaged transformer was connected lastly at Baisakh but as it was damaged within seven months the staffs said there must be investigation on the quality of transformer. As the trouble was known of transformer that has been damaged from three days, the damaged transformer was in the process to sent Hetauda for its repairment.
